Marching On

As I post this the month of March is almost over.  Here are a few more pictures of times down here in South Carolina.

Rose wanted a butterfly bush so we planted one.  The is a before shot.  Hope we can show you a good, healthy after shot.

Our rose bush was cut back pretty far but is coming back quite nicely.  Just a little mis-shapen

Maeve started a potluck group like we used to do in Harbor Beach.  They are calling it 'supper club.'  The first one was an Irish theme in honor of the recent St. Patrick's Day

Some of the supper club group.  Lisa, Aaron, Adam and Maeve

The girls are watching "Frozen" for about the 12th time.  Notice what Maeve and Aaron are doing!

Just a small distraction from "Frozen."

Grandpa is planning his return trip to Michigan via Nova Scotia.  Avery points out where she thinks I should go.

Grandpa points to the place where he hopes to visit on his next big motorcycle trip.

2014 St. Patrick's Five Points

We went to Five Points in Columbia to participate in the St. Patrick's Day festival.  We think this is the fifth year doing this.  We start by doing the fun one mile walk (Maeve has done the walk, a 5K and now a 10K) then heading to Delaney's Pub for a non-traditional Irish breakfast of bloody mary's and chili-cheese fries.  Then we take in the parade followed by lunch and home to rest.

Marching on

OK, so the first two pictures here are on the last day of February but they belong more with March.  We've had a nice turn of weather and things are starting the spring warm up down here.

Enjoying some sun and a little fun and work

We actually have some soil from our composting that I'm spreading along the outside of the pergola area

We took the kids to Saluda Shoals park.  Mom may recall that this is the same area where they have the Christmas light show and we took her through to see the Christmas lights.

Maeve is standing guard but Avery really is pretty brave

Avery tries out the climb

We will bring the kids here as the weather warms.
