Playing, Trotting and Thanksgiving Time

Happy Thanksgiving from South Carolina!  This is our first post from the new blog site.  You can continue to check on past blogs at bobsandroses.blogspot.com but this will be our new site from this point forward.

Anyway, we had a nice Thanksgiving week.  We did the now traditional morning walk for a fund raiser.  We've done the downtown Columbia walk for Boys and Girls Clubs and the last few years did the closer walk at Golden Hills Golf Club in Lexington.  This year both Avery and Kendall joined us for the 7:30am walk.  Another clear, calm day but a bit chilly at 42deg.  But, the walk gave us a great excuse to totally gorge ourselves at dinner.

Some pictures follow.

Kendall paints the sleigh project that they picked up free at Lowe's.  The girls each got one and a carpenter apron.

 "Cheese!"

The Turkey Trot is about to begin.  This is the 5k run.  We did the one mile walk.

 Bundled and ready.

Proof that we were all there...minus Aaron, still sleeping.

We have our mitten and gloves on!

Avery does the trot.  Kendall is ahead in this shot and she ran much of the way!

 We made it!

 Kendall models the Rapunzel hair.

 Avery's version of modeling.

 Getting ready for dinner.

 The turkey is set...

 ...we're seated and ready...
...Grandma Rose finishes the gravy, and...

 ...the aftermath.

It was time for rest and coloring afterwards.  We got to Facetime with Aunt Erin and Aunt LeighAnne and family, too.
