Hi folks. It's been a long while since a blog post for me. This time it's to celebrate a great event to help support research on breast cancer. Daughter Maeve started going to the event a few years back. Last year all three of our daughters participated. This year Leighanne and Maeve along with support from Rose and Bob. Next year the event is late October and already all three of our daughters have registered! Proud of them!
The event hosts thousands of women and a few men who walk three islands on the South Carolina coast. Day one is Daufuskie Island featuring a ferry ride from Hilton Head to the private island where residents throw full support into the event. Day two features a drive to Callawassee Island and another 10 miles. The last day is on Hilton Head Island with much of the walk on the beautiful beach pre-dawn so they can experience the sun rise.
Following are many pictures of the 10 ladies who lodged together. Maeve organized the ladies and made arrangements for the VRBO condo.
