First Day in Michigan and Father's Day Weekend in Grayling

Wild Things!

Well, Maeve posted some pictures of baby birds that were in a nest in our magnolia tree in SC.  Here in Brighton we had some doves nesting under our upper deck.  The baby doves ventured out for their first time onto the lower deck.  And, Mateo found some tiny frogs in the front yard.  It's where the wild things are!

Lunch, Baby Shower and Zoo Time

Some more pictures of the family.  We took Leigh, Paulina, Mikey, Carmen and her friend Abbie out to lunch at Red Robin.
A few days later Rose and I went to Sturgis to celebrate Mom's 89th birthday.  While there we checked out a location for Erin's baby shower.  It's called "Oh, Bernice!" and is in a renovated building in Burr Oak.  It's a cool, quirky place and that's where the shower will be.
Then on Saturday while most of the Denja crew went to Sturgis to visit Grandma and pick up Isabel we had Mateo and Maria stay with us.  We decided to hit the Detroit Zoo.  It's certainly been over 20 years since Rose and I've been.  It was a sunny and hot day but we all enjoyed the time.
