Mom's actual birthday was June 24 but we celebrated on the following Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28 with two parties. The first was for family as defined by her sons, grandchildren's families and the families of her three sisters Mary Jean, Carol and Donna. Donna is the only surviving sister but nearly all of the children of her sisters were able to make it. What a wonderful day!
On Sunday we held an Open House for her in Sturgis at the Thurston Woods Village main dining hall. We estimate a couple hundred people came to wish Mom a happy 90th birthday.
