November...Birthdays, Snow and Thanksgiving

We celebrated Isabel's 13th birthday, played in the first snowfall and ate ourselves silly for Thanksgiving.  Here are a few pictures of the events.  And, we gave Mazie her first ever sled ride.  What a month it's been!

What a Difference Six Days Makes!

Well, well, well doesn't the weather change in Michigan?  On the November 15 weekend we had bright sunshine and 64deg so we took a walk on the Brighton boardwalk and played with the Houghtens and a few of the Denjas in the park.  What a gorgeous day.  Then, the following weekend we had 10 inches of snow.  We had not seen a single snowflake in Brighton until the afternoon of November 21.

In mid afternoon we had nearly 7 inches of snow but by the morning....

we had over 10 inches of snow.

The next day was our coldest morning of the year at 26deg but wonderful blue skies.

Michigan visit and Birthday Celebrations

We had quite the week of visits and celebrations in mid-November.  Maeve came from South Carolina and we celebrated her birthday.  The Houghtens traveled from San Diego and we celebrated Mazie's first birthday.  And, we all gathered with the Denjas to visit and play.  In between all the hoopla and a wedding we all got a chance to visit Great Grandma Alice.
