We celebrated Peter's 8th birthday a week early since he will be gone with Mom and siblings on his birthday weekend. Happy Birthday Peter!

Mazie's new sister Nadine and San Diego Visit

We traveled to San Diego on July 4 to join the Houghtens to await the birth of child number 2 in San Diego. On July 9 baby Nadine Evelyn was born about 3:30 in the afternoon and weighed in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 18 inches long. Baby and Mom came through just fine! We stayed in San Diego until July 16 with the last 7 days Rose and Bob staying downtown at the Gaslamp Plaza Hotel. Daughter Maeve and her two daughters flew out to visit on July 15 for a short 3 day visit. The following pictures are not in sequence but capture our visit and the joy of the birth.

Swan Lake at Sumter, SC

It was a nice day before the heat sets in so we took a drive to Sumter to walk around the Swan Lake park. It was a pleasant stroll of about two miles on both sides of the park.
